Green City Action Plan for Shymkent, Kazakhstan/ EBRD Green Cities program

Technical Coordinator of EBRD Green City Action Plan for Shymkent, the third largest city of Kazakhstan, supporting a sustainable and inclusive urban transition. Guided a cross-sectoral team of experts in delivering an integrated assessment of the city’s environmental baseline and priorities. Coordinated stakeholder engagement to ensure that proposed green city actions - both investment and policy - reflected local ambitions and preferences. The plan addressed key environmental challenges, including climate risk, and identified adaptation and mitigation measures aligned with the Paris Agreement, aiming to fast-track Shymkent’s green transition.
